Do your electronics blink off when you start your motor?

Easily solved by using a small AGM battery and a diode. With the diode in place TO the battery and a wire from the +12v side of the harness to the diode you will keep the battery charged when the engine is running and will not draw from it when starting the motor.

I was lost at "With the diode in place" as I am not exactly sure where that might be? And which direction is the band on the diode relative to what? Perhaps a drawing might help?

Instrumentation “blinks” during starting because current demand exceeds battery capacity, resulting in a voltage drop below the lower limit of the instrumentation with the starter is engaged.

Possible causes:
1. Weak or under sized battery
2. Compromised (corrosion) cables and or wiring to instrumentation
3. Compromised starter drawing excessive current
