No problem at all BB. We have three sections of lawn. Although mowing was mandatory, we made them a source of income for Boomyal Jr. Even though he had lost his original enthusiasm it kept him mowing from age 10 til he headed off for college. He'll still jump on the lawnrider occasionally, on a weekend visit.<br /><br />I think we gave him one raise during his eight year mowing career.

I'll admit I kinda like the mowing, the part I don't care for is looking out over the lawn and getting the feeling I really should mow it before I take the toon out!<br /><br />But it sure does make a dip in the lake feel good!

You got that right.How did I forget to mention the good ole fire ants. Why is it you never know they're there until you're almost covered with them and look like them two guys on HEE HAW slappin and twitchin around trying to get em off? <br /><br />And yes.Thick St.Augustine with some occasional johnson weed.It does look and smell nice once mowed though.

Hmm, I didnt see the option for He11 no!!! in the survey. I am alergic to bermuda and I cant seem to get saint augustine to take over.<br /><br />If you look back over the responses, with a couple of exceptions the people that like to mow live in areas that have veeery short growing seasons.

I hate the job before I start , But love it when Im done . <br />I think most of us cut it to keep the neighbors, county, townships happy . But like JB said :It gives me a chance to play with my tractor!

It's all in how you mow. I have a method that works very well for me and is quite enjoyable.<br /><br />I get the mower out of the garage. Get a beer from the fridge. Sit in the courtyard and watch LF mow.

I used to hate it when I had to push mow about an acre and it took 4 hours but now that I got my John Deere rider with the hydrostatic transmission a couple years ago I do not mind at all. Only problem now is that the beer gets shaken up in the cup holder.

I love walking behind my old 5 horse push mower.I start mowing and dissapear into lala land after about 2 minutes.After 2 hours of that,it is great to see that in spite of my day dreaming, the lawn actually got mowed,sort of.

My yard is 66x150 village lot, take out of that the 1700 sq ft main level of the house, the 24x24 garage and the associated driveway and I have approx 5000 sq ft of lawn. It takes me about 45 mins to mow, when I mow. I used to fight with the wife about who got to mow not who had to mow. One night I remarked to her that our neighbors must be confused, she was out mowing and I was in cooking dinner. We were both happy, I enjoy cooking and she says I'm the better cook (the 3 kids do too!)<br /><br />Yes, I enjoy mowing the lawn. Not so when I had 3 acres to do.

Darn David, I have to do both.<br /><br />Mr. LF, you better hold on to her, my wife has cut the yard exactly 1 time in 20 years. That was while we were dating and she wanted to impress me with her versatility.

Yep they really know how to set the trap, Mow a fellas yard then serve up this skrumtious meal, How were we supposed toknow (blinded by lus.... Love and all) that mom cooked the meal.

I used to love mowing the lawn until I got too old and had to move to a condo. I would gladly go back 30 years and be able to mow the lawn!
