Do I need my hub repressed

I have just purchaced a boat, the man i bought it from said he hit a sand bar and the prop doesent work anymore. i can put my boat to half speed in gear and stop th prop from moving when it is in gear
WHAT DO I DO??

My first question, is how in the hell did you find that out???

Stick your foot in it to see if the prop would stop?

yes it would appear you need to have the prop repaired and rehubbed. more than likely the blades at the least need to be checked for pitch when they rehub.

And if you did put ANYTHING in the prop with the engine running DON"T EVER DO IT AGAIN!
