do i have an alternator???

i have a 1969 chrysler outboard 45 hp model 4545 serial 1483. does anyone know if this outboard has an alternator on it?

Post a pic with the eng?s cover/hood off and it will show or not. I have a 1970 35 hp Chrysler w/o I?ll post. I?ll also post a friend?s Evinrude with a starter and alt (2 components vs the one).

Not an alternator but a charging system.
A 45 is usually electric start, it has a charging system.
What's the problem?

Jerry, Would a charging system be a generator or etc turned by belt as on the Evinrude attached (on this size motor and year)? Versus mounted on top of some smaller motors w/o using a belt.
