ditributor assembly mercury 650

Hi everyone I am new here, I am in Vancouver Canada I recently bought a 1967 or 1968 mercury 650 outboard I took it in to have the carbs redone now it turns out I need a complete distributor assembly part number 393 2799A19. Can anyone help me to figure this out. I am struggling to locate this part.

Bill, Is it a magnito or pointless distributor? I have a 1963 650 on my pontoon. It has a magnito, NONE of the internal parts are available from dealers or most aftermarket sites. I have found units on Ebay from time to time. Parts are High $$$$ on Ebay also, IE: Rotor $180, Cap $80, Points $45, ect. Better off buy a complete unit and using parts.

All remarks are for a magnito, I have no information on the pointless or CDI systems.
