Hello all. First post. Anyway, I need to test and see if my kill switch is defective. I am getting no spark to any of the spark plugs(6). I tested the stator to the best of my abilities and tools available. I also went through and did a visual inspection of the wiring looking for shorts or loose connections. Before I up the big cash to have it repaired I would like to test to see if the kill switch is the root of my problems and making a simple fix. My kill switch has 2 black wires with yellow stripes and 1 solid black wire. I have read on here to simply cut the black with yellow stripe wire but have seen no mention of what to do if there are two of them. Any help is greatly appreciated.

There should be a black wire with a yellow stripe on it around the power Pak you can unplug.
if nothing else you can undo the big red plug and use a remote starter button hooked to solenoid.

Your welcome. sorry that your giving up so quick there is some simple test you can preform yourself to find your problem and fix it alot less than a shop .
I totally understand if your more comfortable taking it to the doctor.lol happy boating

What are some of the simple tests? I have yet to take it in as I had to replace the entire front drive train on my sons car and that took priority over my boat. I am in mechanic hell..LOL

You can test to see if the problem is in the engine, or part of the control box and key switch. Unplug the large red plug inside the cowling. This detaches the control box from the engine. Use a set of automotive jumper cables to a known strong battery. Jump the starter to rotate the engine and check for spark. If you still have no spark, the problem is within the engine-mounted ignition system.
