Re: Disable oil injector

Having the oil pump is better than mixing oil any day. Fix it if you can figure out where it's leaking. If you're bound and determined to remove it, there are a number of threads here that describe the process. You should be able to search and find a wealth of information.

On the 50's it's basically, remove the tank, remove the pump, install the block off kit, and disconnect the two blue alarm module wires. The fuel line can be run direct to the fuel pump or you can just leave the check valve T fitting and cap it.

Pre-mix in the tank at 50:1 from then on. It'll smoke a little more at idle but that's because the 50:1 premix is constant and the pump cuts you back to about 60:1 at idle.

Re: Disable oil injector

I think it maybe leaking past the diaphram.
Is it leaking oil in the cowling? This is a gravity feed system and only places for it to leak oil is from the tank or line to oil pump. To disable it, drain and leave the tank or you will have a hole in top of cowling, pull oil pump and remove oil pump shaft and reinstall pump as there is no block off kit for this engine, remove oil control linkage from carb, disconnect the 2 blue sensor wires on tank, cap the oil line to fuel line "tee" and your ready to go. This system has very few failures as its driven off bottom of crankshaft that why oil pump is not monitered....
