Did Water Get Into My Gear OIL?

I know water got into the U-Joint Bellows. I have taken the OD off and can see the rust on: The gimbal bearing and on the U-Joints.

The question is: Did water get past the seal in the bearing carrier and into the gear oil?

I drained the oil and it is blueish-green. See the pictures below. What color should it be and what does this color indicate? I could let the oil sit for a while and see if the water separates out.

Thank you.

Should be dark bluish green. Not light which suggests water.

You need to pressure and vacuum test the drive to determine where it's leaking. Usually it's at the prop shaft seals, but could be shift seal, drain plug/dip stick seals, or input shaft seal.

Based on the rusty u-joints from the other threads, your input shaft seal is one of the suspects
