have been away from boating due to busy work/life, now just getting back to it.
anyway, my outboard is a 1984 v4 90hp evinrude. I was servicing/cleaning the inline filter, as I was twisting/wiggling the canister, I heard a small snap and the filter element and the canister came off of the top part, now did I just break the filter element or was it separate from the top originally?
Also, when I reconnect the fuel hose back to the filter, do I need to do anything special since the filter/hose now contain air. To tie the hose, do I need a ratchet type plastic tie or a simple plastic tie will do? thanks
