Did Alumacraft build "Factory Specials" for Customers?

I have a 1956 Alumacraft Model F with factory installed wooden backrests on two of the bench seats. The support bracket are original, not sure if the backrests are. Interested to hear in anyone has seen this option before or information regarding.

Much appreciated in Wisconsin.

plywood is not original to the boat, the backrests in a similar form were. however looks similar to a bud's old alumacraft

I Didn't find any that look close to what I have.
my Title lists the boat as a 1956, I didn't find a 1956 brochure, I would think this option is not exclusive to a 56.
It would be great to find a picture of an F with seat backs supports.

Where can I view "bud's old Alumacraft" ?

Unless something has changed, Alumacraft was not able to provide any information regarding this feature. They referred me to viewing old brochures. This forum is probably a good place to inquire about this feature.
Title shows the boat last registered in 2017 in Ramona, California. Hull # F15966. Be great to find some new information!

I do know this you could put a much bigger motor on the back. With that transom and sturdy build the boat was rated for a 35 hp. I used to have a Deep C that was kinda close to what you have except the steering was in the front.
