I have a 04 Chris Craft 22 Launch and would like to find a good cleaner and wax that can take care of surface scratches from everyday use that will fill in and match the gel coat color, does anyone know a good brand I should look for that will take care of this and give me an excellent finish?

Re: Detailing your boat

My boat needed serious help; it was sitting for about 4 years and the fiberglass was all flaky-looking. I used a 600grit wet sand paper, then Turtle Wax rubbing compound, then Turtle Wax polishing compound and it looks very good.

If yours isn't bad, I would go for just the polishing compound; there's something in it that gives the fiberglass a rich look.

Still, I would wait for other responses; polishing compound might be the WORST thing for fiberglass.
