Wow...that's quite a story jimmmy.....I'm sure a lot of us would like to know how you finally came to that conclusion?

The outdrive seals needed servicing this year (milky oil) and we asked mechanic #3 to count the gear teeth. End of story!

That seem awefully slow to plane? I am just curious

I agree. I have a 16' 4winns with only a 2.5L (120hp) with a 19" prop and I get up to 38 mph and about 4400 rpms. maybe the other guy has a hull full of water.
