My favorite place is where the fish bite anything and are all record size. I haven't found it yet.

Other than that I like putting in at the Homosassa river and going out into the gulf. :)

Great South Bay. Raft-ups with friends at Coast Guard Cove and behind Oak Island. Docking at Captree State Park. Anchoring off Kismet and Democrat Point just inside the Fire Island Inlet (beautiful, beautiful spot, but pay attention- big current and tide swings there).
Battling my way home through the state channel on a Sunday afternoon when it seems my boat's the littlest one on the water :)

Cruising. The waters east of Copiague are wide open all the way out past Patchogue. Exploring the dozens of canals and looking at the nice houses and boats. Waving to the bumper-to-bumper beach traffic on the Robert Moses Bridge as I pass under it, thinking "there but for the grace of God and Chris*Craft..."

Damn- I HAVE to get finished up and launch soon. I'm dying here...

Folly/Kiawah South Carolina

Folly/Kiawah South Carolina

Here's a spot that is enjoyed around Charleston. The inlet between Folly Island and Kiawah has a beautiful beach, and creeks (races really) including Bass Creek, Kiawah River, Stono River with access to the ocean, Charleston Harbor and Inter-coastal waterway. There is plenty of water for cruising, skiing, wake-boarding, fishing, shrimping and crabbing. There are usually lots of boats pulled up on the beach at the Kiawah side for parties enjoying sun, beach games, adult beverages. Usually there are a couple of boats with sleeping quarters that just spend the weekend anchored off the beach.

Lake Mead. Never fail to bring home a cooler full of stripers and catfish. Tried the Colorado river but didnt care for the current. Just like to sit in a cove and relax. Lots of other activities too; like hiking, climbing, exploring, swimming, diving, or just taking in the scenery.
