I own a Tahoe Q8 i and the depth finder quit working. I also noticed the speedometer does not start reading until you reach 25 mph. any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: depth finder

Check the inline fuse for the sounder and the speedometer reads off of pressure so they it won't start reading until you reach higher speeds.

Re: depth finder

Sound like you picked up some trash in your speedo pickup on your drive. With your drive all the way up you will notice a small slot on the back side, make sure it is not partially blocked, do not blow air into this hole you will only push it in further . Try using maybe a paper clip to free the debre.

I have same problem with tahometer on my 195/IO - shows 2500 RPM all the time. Could it also be due to fuses?

Re: depth finder

The tach is not fused . Sounds as if a defective tach if stuck at 2500 RPM at all speeds. The in line fuse at the depth suonder is not easily accessable. You can access thru the helm storage behind the dash, or the access hole just below the dash. Remove the 4 screws where your dinner plate size cover . In your search for the fuse you may actually find a broken wire. The depth finder wires are a real small size and prone to break. The larger wire coming off the sounder may have just come unpluged.
