Who knows my first post at a member .. that is my point .. It does not show that I have Edited my First post and the body of the first ... It can be changed to anything I want now..

..

4 times I have now edited this post .. Nobody knows I did this beside the mods ( or someone quick enough to quote ) ..

Question remains ..

More than likely when you see a post that has been edited, it was probably by a moderator. They do this to keep the poster within the confines of the rules of the forum...........SS

If I edit someone else's posts I definitely leave a reason or an Edit note in the body of the post, usually both. If I edit my own after a millesecond (which I do often) I usually won't note it. If it is later, or has been quoted I fess up to my typos. Either way the edit function isn't going anywhere. If you guys would stop bickering, no one would need to remove anything . . .

Its not removeing .. its more like Adding/altering the posts .

So .. I can start to Mod my Own posts to edit without anyone knowing .. .. thats good to know ..

Only the Mods can Look at the Origional posts ( without edit ) and see if a thread has been altered.
Edit: NO WE CAN'T, but I can do this, lol QC

There has been no change to the Edit function in the last few upgrades . . . It only notes an edit if you type in a reason. Always been like that I think.

Edit at 5:33: without a note . . .

This battle was fought many software versions ago. With a software update, management tried to eliminate the edit function. The Body rose up and smote them. Live with it! We won the right to have it (with no edit notations) and hopefully it is here to stay!!

Try that edit without typing anything in the Reason box .. I would have never known you "added" smiley face .. but at least I knew you Edited your post.

I have seen post in the past that Stated something..then later on added or subtracted a part of the post. .. this makes for some confusing postings that are in the thread where one thing was stated..then was added or subtracted to.

I dont like being a part of a thread that can change stories at a touch of an Edit button. .. things can change Real fast when someone changes the post. It can mean one thing ..then 5 hours later completely mean another..

Because of the ability to edit, this thread is far more like it is now than it would have been without that functionality.
