Re: Decking Coatings

I used Kiwigrip. Easy to put down, seems durable, though i've only had it down for a season. Best part is that it is textured but not abrasive.

I found this in my search for different types of coatings.

Does anyone have any experience with this or similar products on a wood deck? I will be replacing my deck with resin coated plywood and am looking for something to put over it.

I read the tech data and it does not say if it has UV protection. I'd call the MFG and check what they say about Marine use and the cost. If it's UV and cost is right I's say give it a go.

I think I scored this week - local Lowe's had PlastiKote truck bed liner on clearance for $18.95! Normally $79.95, at least there. So that's what I plan to use on my deck.

You might want to see if yours if doing the same. The Herculiner is still normal price, it's only the PlastiKote on clearance.
