I am trying to restore a 1984 Hurricane Deckboat and have had fairly good luck finding parts until now. I am trying to locate the 2 drains located in the bow of the boat. There is one on each side just inside of the carpet. These drains go thru the floor to the hull but are only about 3 inches total. I have found a couple of scuppers however they are much bigger than what I need. The tube on the piece I have is about 5/8 inch outside diameter and the ones I've found online are over 1 1/2 inches. Does anyone know where I can find something like this. I'm getting ready to install the carpet but wanted to install these when I did.

When restoring Older boats,....

Creative Engineering is Pretty Common.........

Without a picture or something,..... It's Pretty Tough to give you many Ideas on What to use as a Work-around...........

Well I thought that someone else may run across this in the future so here is a copy of the email I got from Godfrey on this part.

From: Godfrey Marine Parts [mailto:parts@godfreymarine.com]
Sent: Friday, January 27, 2006 10:03 AM
To: Info
Subject: Re: Hurrucane FunDeck

In checking with our Parts person on this question, we would have only current decals available only. There would be no illustration for us to send however, you can go to our website and see what is on the boats currently. That link is www.godfreymarine.com. The decals would have no part number attached to them.

You can obtain a Godfrey catalog if you would like visual reference on current models by calling Godfrey Marine at 888-463-3739 and ask to speak to Sharon in Shipping who can take your name and address and send you the catalog.

Now for the floor drains you are needing for the 1984 boat: the size you are looking for is a 1.5" thro hull drain and has a part # 39541. For your convenience, it would be easiest for you to have an authorized Godfrey dealer look at the current style boat parts, as well as order the parts for you that you need. To find that dealer, use the link provided above to our website, click on the dealer locator to the left on the home page and based on your zip code and type of boat, you can have three dealers' phone numbers to contact with location detail and approximate miles from your home. When you call to order, please check with the dealer to see if you could have the package delivered to your home which may or may not be an option for you, to save on drive time to the dealer if that is extensive. They can discuss this option for you.

Please note: These parts when ordered are non-returnable so you want to be certain of size.

Good luck and happy boating!
Maybe someone else can use this.

Re: Deckboat Restoration

well, your hoses for your cockpit drains should be the same ID as the hole in the thru-deck fitting. If they have a 1 1/2" hole going into 1/2" tubing, do yourself a favor and get the fitting that takes the proper size hose.
