Deck cover ideas

I'm planning ahead on my Conroy resto. It seems to me that carpet on the sole of a ski/tube/swimming boat is a terrible idea. I'm tearing up rotten decks and stringers now.

Any suggestions on alternative non slip material. Also, when I lay the new sole, should I plan on some sort of "grade" to help it shed water better?

Unless you want a permanent finish you could use non-slip mats. If you want a permanent finish you could paint the deck and use non-skid additive.

Bedliner instead of paint. Grizzly Grip is one DIY brand that comes in many different colors.

Paint and non skid.

Paint it once and then tape out some edges etc. then roll on some more paint with none skid and it will look like a factory job.

Try a light grey or something other than white so the reflection isn't to bad.
