Re: Dealer friend swears this is true.

This came from a dealer also, guy buys a boat and a couple days later shows up at the dealer dock mad as a hornet, the boat he says is a piece of crap, no top end and it hands like a bus and he wants his money back.

Dealer goes out to see wht is wrong with the boat, no water in the bilge, seems to run alright then he notices the hook on the bow eye, looks closer and......THE TRAILER IS STILL ATTACHED TO THE BOAT!!!!!!

Don't know what the guy was thinking and the dealer obviously didn't go over the boat very well but still.

That's hard to believe, how'd did it come off the towing vehicle? Beside Bill Dance has already done that...

There is a good Mythbusters episode on this one. I won't spoil it, because it's worth watching! :D

ummm, dont you know why the fiberglass is shiny and has a nice areodynamic shape? and the trailer is metal and rusty. some people may have the cash in hand to "buy" a boat but there probably better off NOT. what does a redneck do when his boat brakes down in the middle of the lake? pull out his swimmies?

Not going to lie. I have done this. Luckily the boat didn't sink though... As I was leaving the dock I had this sinking feeling(no pun intended) Hit the bilge and boogied back to the dock, jumped out and installed the plug.
