i found this 24ft aluminum with 225 evinrude (72 hours) in a boatyard this spring.
i figured i could pick it up for around 15-20k and throw about 10k at it to get it looking good, but it didnt turn out that way.
when i asked the boatyard owner how much, he said take it away for $2500.00 (thats right two thousand and five hundred) and i scooped it up right away!!!

just about done now, just need to wire in a few things and its GTG. total investment including trailer is under 10k, and that includes new radio, GPS, fish finder,9.9 kicker, and fishing gear. it runs great and does about 55mph, and cruises quite nicely at 40mph...

even my wife cant argue with me on this deal!!!!

here is how it looked when i found it:

after a good 3000psi pressure wash:

after about 12 hours of paint removal:

and after 3 coats of primer and 2 coats of anti fouling paint, here it is:

Nice score man. You should be able to handle some heavy water now.

Cool looking rig!!!

Looks like the boats we saw while visiting Alaska a couple years ago. Good for foul and/or cold weather and the rough water.

Awesome boat! Congrats on the score, any history on her?
the only info i could find was that it was made by Tidewater.

Any updates?

funny you should say that...

the entire cabin of the boat was filled with water (as it had 2 broken windows), and everything inside was waterlogged and rotten. I took everything down to the ribs and re-foamed and finished it with mahogany and fir.I will be finishing the trim and doing a coat of varnish this weekend, then I just need to get some seat cushions made. And the last thing that was needed was to re-wire the entire boat from back to front... It's all done and I am into the boat for around 15K (including electronics and fishing gear)
I will post a few more pics when the trim is finished up and I have it in the water.
