Day Cruiser false floor replacement

The floor under my front seats are sagging and my ski locker lid sank below the floor surface. I thought the lip was just separating from the underside of the floor, but its not, the whole bottom layer of the floor plywood is separating and coming down into the ski locker. Its the whole length of the locker too, not just a certain section. I am looking for some advice here. So far, 3/4" plywood cut to fit fiberglass resin and mat. and that is as far as I've gotten. I also have a problem with trapping water in my ski locker, so I'm looking into maybe drilling a whole in the bulkhead to drain water, but I have a sealed bilge and in-floor cooler that also needs to be replaced/removed with just a metal tube for the cooler to drain to the bilge. There is no other holes or anything like that, but I believe water from the locker eventually drains in the dead-air space in my floor around the cooler, then when I pull that metal tube out all the trapped water will drain into the bilge to drain out.

I'm also wanting to do the floor on the trailer but I've read that you shouldn't pull the floor up with the boat on the trailer, but good friends of mine with years of experience tell me its fine, the stringers and the closed bow will maintain the hull and there shouldn't be any sagging issues.I did some searching but direct answers found. If anyone can advise me, please do! I want to have the boat ready by the end of May. :)

Thanks everyone!

You should be good to pull the deck on the trailer. Pulling the cap off is when people run into problems.

Are you adding a false floor over the existing floor. In other words, covering up the problem. Are you sure the stringers aren't rotted and causing the sag?

The floor is solid over the stringers, its starting to sag around the ski locker. I cant say the stringers are good for sure. i do intend to pull up my floor for replacement. Glad to hear i should be okay to leave it on the trailer! Very much a relief ;)

if your talking about the boat in the pic and you have to do the floor. I would go ahead and build a cradle and uncap it. based on your description you will be doing the floor, stringers, bulkhead and most likely the transom.
