Database error after posting in a thread

Ever since the database was corrupted and restored, any time I post to a thread the top of the page will state that it is "working" and then a couple of minutes later, I get a "there was a database error" message. Strangely enough, the post does appear, but the error happens each time I try to post to a thread.

Seems to have gone intermittent. I got the database error once last night and it was the first time in several days. Just click OK and refresh and you're good to go.

Just try to ignore it the best you. Even though it says "working" or you get an error code, 99.9% of the time the post goes through instantaneously. Just click refresh or open a second window and work between the two windows. You will see that your last post went through. And if it didn't go through for some reason, don't get frustrated and think that you will have to retype everything. With this new software, we now have the auto save feature. You can now go back to that topic anytime you want to, even if it's days later and it should still be there. Just above the "write something..." you should find highlighted in yellow (Previously entered content was automatically saved. Restore or Discard.) Just click on restore and everything you typed should reappear.

Hope this helps keep everyone motivated to hang around for awhile.:)

Who is the IT contractor responsible for the forum upgrades?

If you read through some of the threads, it would indicate that the IT guys for iboats are the ones that did the upgrade and now they have secured the services of the company that sells the software also, I don't think it accomplishing anything to know who they are as it will not speed up the problem solving and stability. I have duplicated the majority of the problems that have happened on my own servers and it takes time to track down solutions and sometimes you have to do the fix in a particular order so you don't cause other problems.

We believe the cause was an outdated template that was missed during the update. We have since updated the template and are waiting to see if the issue still exists. So far I have not had an issue posting a reply.

Maybe it doesn't like me. The post I made in another topic just before the one above errored, but #11 went right through. Seems to be a throw of the dice whether it errs or not. Still much improved from days past - I'll take it.

I've gotten it with every posting I've made today. Have been using the Refresh method OK.

All of my posts over the last three days have had the error. Just text on all of 'em ... Safari off a Mac ... and in the SE just like GA. Maybe it's a regional thing ;)
