Ok, what's her hairdoo have to do with anything?

While I don't condone what she did, and don't think race had anything to do with it, I do object to the political grandstanding going on over this matter.

Whether you agree with her politics is irrelevant, as she was elected, and presumably represents the voters that elected her.

Charge her with a crime or not--give her a trial if that is appropriate, but quit the political posturing and derogatory comments about her hair style, however clever and funny you think they may be.

This whole incident is a loss...

If she had not been stopped she would have figured she was recognized and respected (in her mind).....

Insulted because she was absentminded and forgot to properly wear the pin....

She was in the wrong. The rules do not have exceptions.

What a waste of time! I hope she gets community service and gets to wash cars!

Given the circumstances, would the jusisdiction be federal? If so, federal sentences can be rough.

Those comments mean so much from a guy that stated this on the Drunken Texans thread.

Quote: "Anything that throws Texans in jail I am in favor of.

I ain't interested in no stinkin' details"

And like most of Hollywood, he is just great, when a literate person is giving him lines to say (of course he has to rehearse for weeks). As usual, when an actor speaks his own mind, sentences and even paragraphs get spoken, WITHOUT ONE SIMPLE THOUGHT COMING OUT OF HIS MOUTH. What a typical holywood IDIOT !

Re: Cynthia McKinney

I find it interesting that she hasn't apologized for hitting a LEO. If I get pulled over by a cop and I am out of state is that profiling and can I hit him.

The hair thing has to do with the fact that this racist refused to wear the pin that give her clearance, and the entire staff had to memorize her face and let her go without being searched. She changed her hair and the LEO didn't recongnize this idiot. Using race for special treatment is racist. She is a racist.

Lost in the shuffle is the fact that only two years ago, a person did the exact same thing she did and two people died as a result.

Her hair looked like every other crack addict walking around the district. When the police see what appears to be a crack addict entering the capitol I expect them to stop them.

Arrest the guard for failure to properly guard his post, he should have shot her.

I hope she gets community service and gets to wash cars!

Nah, she'll probably get to counsel unwed teenage mothers about the evils of white society. Anyone who saw the CNN piece with her (and her "attorney") would know just how ridiculous she is, and what role her hair has in the whole thing. The shame of it all is that the taxpayers will continue paying her even if voted out; a waste of resources now, and a waste then..

No need to say anything negative about her here, she's doing enough all by herself!

Re: Cynthia McKinney

McKinney Apologizes for Incident With Cop
Apr 06 12:22 PM US/Eastern
By MARK SHERMAN
Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON

Rep. Cynthia McKinney, D-Ga., expressed "sincere regret" Thursday for her altercation with a Capitol police officer, and offered an apology to the House.

"There should not have been any physical contact in this incident," McKinney said in brief remarks on the House floor. "I am sorry that this misunderstanding happened at all and I regret its escalation and I apologize."

McKinney's comments came after the case had been referred to a federal grand jury for possible prosecution.
Too little, too late in my book. Where is her apology to the LEO?

Re: Cynthia McKinney

ee, only you could possibly miss the satire of my remark.

Oh heck, now she has apologized, she waited too long, and look what she did before she apologized.

Would not it be incredible that after counsel from others who were not personally involved she recognized her personal reaction was wrong.

She did apologize to all and stood up as being in the wrong. Something others might consider. Yeah even ole Bill admitted he was wrong letting Monica play his flute.
