Joe, Seahorse, Backfire....any OMC gurus...
I have 2 cylinder heads for a cross-flow V4 with 2 completely different P/N's
316467 is starboard, and 314965 is port.
My question is....Is the 316467 a newer number for the starboard side to match the 314965, which would be 314964 or-66.
Both heads appear identical, although they have different paint.

Re: Cylinder head P/N's

Hi Walleyehead
I'm not sure I understand your question. But lets try this; Part#314965 supercedes to #316466. Part#314966 supercedes to #316467. Does this make sence? The only info I can get from these #s is that these parts are cyl. heads. To tell you which one is which or if they are for your motor I will need your model #, so I can look up the parts catolog for your motor.

KennyB: Now that you have the cylinder head's, are you going to try the manifold mod. that Dhadley told us about? I dug out a spare manifold I have, and it looks like it would be an easy mod. on a milling machine. When does boating season start in your area? I would like to hear about the results you get.

Re: Cylinder head P/N's

R.Johnson, I'm still trying to get the right heads....this last set is for 92 cube blocks, 85-100hp thru 1972...need 1973 135 heads.
After some serious research on the intake, I've decided not to cut mine out...sounds like only gain is WOT, and it can make it a can-o-worms to jet properly....I'm going with the heads, and somemore porting, and a little bit of a modification to my exhaust chamber and filler blocks. Might know in 2 or 3 weeks if I'm lucky.
