I have a 1963 Johnson 3 hp motor and the top plug hole on the cylinder head is stripped.<br />Where can I find a new head? or can this problem be solved in some other way?<br /><br />Mike
A helix-coil will do the trick quite nicely to repair the head. MOst auto repair shops have kits to do the job. You can find a local machine shop to do it too, takes about 10-15 minutes to fix.
