Cut out Switch Test.

Correct me if I’m wrong but to see if my switch is working, when I depress it manually , it should kill the engine, correct?

Yes depending on how long you hold it, it should stumble if you keep holding it it will kill it

Ok, mine’s pooched! No wonder I couldn’t get it out of forward!

That’s what she said,.,yes without the stumble to unload the propthe back cut on the dog clutch teeth will not pop out into neutral. I think you have the old style switch not sure how much of an upgrade to the new style… if it requires new shift plate. if not local boat yard can prob find used or NOS on ebay

Holy crap! I can’t believe how lucky I am! Found one 10 minutes from my house, $35!
