cut out switch lead

Can anyone tell me how to route the lead from the cut-out switch to the armature plate on a 56 evinrude big twin 30 hp electric? it looks like it will bind no matter if i run it under the starter or behind it or wherever.

It's a little tricky to get in place once you've taken the starter and carb off. I actually lenthened mine to make it easier to route. Routed mine along the top of the block in a starboard direction, then vertically down behind the starter bracket and back toward port behind the starter and the carb. Don't completely tighten the starter bracket until you get it routed. The original wire also had a sleeve over the entire length to protect it.

that looks like it'll work as long as it allows for smooth movement of the magneto. thanks for the help.
