Crosby Sled identification

I recently purchased a boat that has plastic decals on the side showing it to be a Crosby Sled. It measures out at 14’ long and about 58” wide. It has a 5 number serial plate ending in 811. There is no way it is a 2011 since I do not think they made them that late. Any ideas on what year it actually is?

Serial number is not the same as a HIN , so the last 2 digits have no bearing on the year it was built. What does the paperwork say ?

Take a look around

Seems a Sled or a Crosby Sled was offered for multiple years in mid-late 60s thru early 70s.

At this point 50yrs later, proper paperwork is more important. Esp depending on what state/country you're in.

A 5 digit serial number is just a serial number from long before they had HINs.

If you don't have proper paperwork, you have a 2023 yard planter

Unfortunately there is no paper work. Can you tell me where the HIN would be located?

Well thanks for clearing that up. So now I am at a total loss to try to figure out anything about this boat. Thanks for responding.
Happens when ya buy old boats w/out paperwork.
