crazy water pump

i have a 91 force 150, it runs pretty good but i noticed that water sprays ( not in a solid stream of water tho) out the pee holes only at idol. When i am driving water doesnt seem to flow out the pee holes at all! is that a bad impeller? i would really appreciate the advice, thanks

If it is spurting it is probably working, but don't take a chance. When was the impeller last changed? They need to be changed about every two years. I also have a Force 150, the impeller change is a simple job. It took me about two hours, will be much faster a second time when needed. Also find the thread in this section about instaling a tell tale on a Force, a simple job that lets you know for sure that your water pump is working.
