Crazy livewell

I'm not sure where to post this but here we go - My livewell pump is broken or at least it wont turn on, but my livewell will continue to fill when I'm in motion . What would cause this and how do Ifix It?????

Do you think it might help to know what type of livewell system you have, tiimer or not, or the boat, or some pictures to give us a clue what you have? There are as many livewell systems as there are boats. If the pump doesn't run, it is either the fuse, the wiring, the switch, or the pump. Check them in that order. Test light or meter is needed.
