Just a quick question. Working on my 89 4.3. I've had it running on muffs for nearly an hour. It doesn't appear that my oil is milky, but I'm noticing water dripping from my crankcase breather hose. I've heard stories of condensation.... Is that where you would see it, how much is normal? Thanks

Because Merc dipstick tubes extend right to the bottom of the oil pan, even if the oil was very milky, it takes quite a while for the contaminated oil to get into the dipstick tube..Try blowing air down the tube to force the oil in it, out. Then the oil that comes back in (after you remove the air) will be more representative of all of the oil in the pan.

Oil still looks clean. I'm getting about 1 drop of clean water every few minutes. I've read about condensation, just not sure how much is normal/acceptable.
