Craked LU Case

I've got a 1976 Merc 200 20 hp short shaft with a cracked lower unit case. Is there any way to repair 1 (weld, epoxy)? If not does anyone have a case out there? I checked ebay but found nothing.

I am in the same boat (no pun intended) only the guts are bad on my 1988 200hp mercury. If you find a reasonably priced solution please let me know!!

Where is yours cracked? I have seen them welded before, but requires complete disassembly..... of course.

It's cracked at the shift shaft housing. May be too delicate to weld?
