Cracked Volvo Penta 5.0 FL PHUE Block

I cracked my block on a 1996 Volvo Penta 5.0 FL PHUE due to overheating. Everything else is fine including heads, risers, starter, water pumps and outdrive. All I need to do is replace the block and all internal parts. Is it possible to use a block from a 1996 5.0 Ford Mustang from a junk yard or order a block from a local auto parts store and outfit it with the rest of the parts from my current engine?
