Cracked Head

Hello fellow boaters,

New to the forum but for good reason. I took my boat in for some work I couldnt get done my self. Bad news is my #2 cylinder was low on compression. Then I get a call that the head itself was cracked. does anyone know of a place where I could pick one up for a decent price. I have an 88 2.3L OMC cobra Bayliner. Any help with this would be Greatly appreciated!!! thanks

I spoke with my Mech. who said the casting number on the head has to match in order to be functional 100%. is there any truth to this, because i called a place and they said it didnt matter. i'm just trying to get back on the water so i can enjoy the rest of the summer. and help with this would be greatly appreciated. the boat again is a 1988 Bayliner capri bow rider. the motor is a 2.3L ford engine. thanks again!
