Re: Crackberry

Get the Otterbox Case for it. They are great.

I have the "BodyGlove" Case. It is a hard cover that also has a rubber type exterior so it is easy to hold and it also covers the screen, i have dropped my phone several times and when i remove the cover for cleaning the phone still looks the way it did when I first bought it. I had the "OtterBox Case, at first but the one I had did not cover the screen, and I wanted one that would protect the screen as well.

Re: Crackberry

I have the 8700G......hate it. I have had several calls to the tech reps about the phone recently randomly restarting itself. It will do it invariably when I need to make an important call. They have sent me a new battery and it seemed to work ok for a few hours then back to its old tricks. I am going be getting a new phone next month so I just have to suffer through until then. I am looking at the curve like my wife has, she loves hers.

Fot the Curve down "QuickPull" from the Blackberry App World. It allows you to do a full reboot without having to pull the battery out. Also "BuzzMe" allows you to set it to ring and vibrate at the same time. Useful for noisy areas.

The OtterBox Case I have, came with a cover that folds over the back to the front of the phone. It covers the keys, screen, and has filters over the earpiece and speaker. Then the hardcase snaps around it, then the neoprene cover goes over the case. I was quite surprised how well it was put together and how well the screen and key cover fits. You almost can't tell a difference in the keys when you type. It is quite water resistant....notice I don't say waterproof. To take care of it on the boat (since it's a work phone and I'm on constant call) is I bought a waterproof case from walmart that seals the phone in, and you can inflate air bags around it. A pfd for my blackberry....lol.

Re: Crackberry

An interesting point for those of you who leave Bluetooth on all of the time - you can be hacked by someone nearby. All of what is in your emails, etc., can be hacked.

I saw an ad about this the other day - apparently the little weasels of the world cruise around in cars, hang out in internet cafes, etc., with Bluetooth enabled laptops and hack people's info.

You you "just love" the modern age?

I was in the airport last week to beam via BT a pic from my phone to my laptop I had out..
As my phone searched for my laptop, about 50 OTHER people's device came up as well..
