Well it seems that these cowling covers won't stand up to the 65mph bumber of a truck. Mine went airborn and met it's maker.

After doing a search here and on ebay, I have been unable to find a new outboard cowling/hood/cover or whatever its proper name is. Can anyone help me find a suitable cowling cover?

Thanks!

FH

I see a few on ebay. Use these search terms:
(18, 18hp) (johnson, evinrude) (cowl, cover, cowling)

It doesn't matter if it's a Johnson or Evinrude, they both fit. There's even a '63.

Welcome to Iboats! :)

Thanks for the help. The one 63 that is listed is a different shape than mine. But I did find one that will probably work. I have emailed the seller to try and find out some details.

This site is great. Thanks for the assistance.

FH

You likely have a Johnson then. No difference in the covers' fit, just the styling.
