Very serious, how could anyone believe a mask don't help? They have been in use for over a hundred years. Would you feel comfortable going for major surgery if you knew all the nurses and surgeons there didn't bother to wear masks? Suit yourself but I think if more people down there wore masks you all would be in much better shape right now......

Actually have read a study where masks neither protect the patient or the dr during surgery. I also never said I do not wear a mask, but I certainly question the masks effectiveness based on how the mask has done nothing to stop the spread in Minnesota.

Some masks are better then others. I see people with loose fitting masks with the sides hanging open everyday and that is pretty much useless, Also people with them over their mouth but not their nose! They are certainly not 100% effective but I believe they do increase your chances of not getting sick or spreading to others.

Please link the study. This is the kind of nonsense statement that spreads disinformation. Also, your reasoning is faulty. How do you know that the mask has done nothing? Maybe it's curtailed the rate of transmission. NO SCIENTIST has EVER said that masks will prevent transmission. The only thing that will stop the spread completely is by having strict quarantine for everybody. Like, we're gonna shoot you if you leave the house. Also, the whole 6 foot thing is a gross oversimplification. If you think you won't get covid because you're 6 feet from someone at the restaurant, you're mistaken.

Again blaming the fail on the mask. The govt can mandate all they want but when people dont adhere to it, it wont work.

Can't smell a thing wearing a respirator mask like the one in my pic.

I was sitting in our Walmart parking lot a couple weeks ago and saw a middle-aged couple come out wearing full blown gas masks. They're definitely serious about keeping safe!

It's true that a N95 mask blocks all virus and smells. That's how they are tested for fit, a strong smelling spray is sprayed inside a hood over your head while you wear the mask. If you can smell it, it ain't a proper fit. I work in a hospital lab and was fitted a number of times. That being said even a regular mask will block the much bigger droplets that are carrying the virus from person to person if worn properly.
