Couple quick questions about fuel and tach

On my 89 Johnson GT100, which way is the red Run/Manual start fuel seletor suppose to go for run mode, to the right when looking at it from the front of the motor? Also, how many poles should I set my tach too?

The red handle should be pointing toward the body of the primer. I believe that would be to the right as you stated. The tach should be set to "6" for a V4. <br /><br />Where in GA are you located? I'm originally from the GA side. Moved here to be closer to work.

Thanks for the reply. I'm in Savannah. <br /><br />Tach is set on 6 pole, but it reads way to high. It sits on 3000-4000 while the motor is at idle.

Got it. Had to set it on position 5 which lists as 12 pole.
