I have a couple of questions about the restoration of my 1978 16ft Cajun Special

1. Some of aluminum sheet interior siding is sort of bent and caved in at various points. How would I go about fixing this? Blow torch and rubber mallet? I have attached an example pictures since I am not near the boat at the moment. It is like the siding that the paper is sitting on top of, without carpet or anything just bare metal. http://imgur.com/a/In4Tt

2. Is it necessary to strip the hull completely to bare aluminum before priming and painting? If I did end up stripping does aircraft remover work best? I would just like to see if i can just skip the stripping and go and rough it up real good with a sander. It would be nice to avoid hour of stripping lol.

Thanks a bunch

welcome aboard

dont recommend a torch, however a body hammer and dolly works wonders

aircraft striper works great. if the underlying paint is in good shape, a simple scuff and go.
