i have a 2004 Rinker 282 with 2016 383 mag stroker engine which replaced the original engine.
when the previous owner added the new motor thy added the corsa above water exhaust in addition to the thru hub exhaust.
Recently the engine hydrolocked thru the exhaust riser and manifold.
i dont think there is enough vertical rise from the exhaust outlet located under the swim platform to the top of the exhaust riser.
Should there be a flapper inside the exhaust before the exhaust riser to keep water out?
I Also noticed that the exhaust flappers at the end of the exhaust dont close fully when the engine isnt running.
I am attaching photographs of the current installation for review.
I appreciate comments on the existing installation.
Assuming the installation is incorrect what steps can I make to correct the installation?
Does it make sense to exhaust ou the sides instead of under the swim platform?
Thanks
Mike
