I recently was given a 2 hp mariner, serial # (2m?) 6A1071191. I read on here and other places that it would be a good idea to replace the impeller and/or water pump.However I don't know if this engine is air or water cooled. I have heard both. I know hardly anything about outboards yet, but I know that there wouldn't be an impeller on an air cooled engine. Also, I can't find the "tell tale" where water is pushed out behind the engine after circulating through the system. Can anyone offer any insight here to help a newbie?
