Wow that is a heck of a cut. On a good night and if the cut of beef is good I might be able to finish that (might)32oz prime rib , Hawaii. I didn't make it, but I ate it, all of it.

I had never tried oxtail so a few years ago I tried an oxtail recipe that you did in a cast iron pot on a smoker. It turned out inedible, terrible flavor. I’m not objectionable to give it another chance if prepared differently.I haven’t had ox tail in many years. Sometimes I look for it but they don’t have any. I saw a pack yesterday and grabbed it then saw the price and back on the shelf it went. $65.00. When the hell did this happen? I heard it’s become more popular lately but WTF.
Yeah that sounds horrible. It is a VERY rich and beefy flavor. Low and slow in the oven after a sear. Onions, carrots, etc. Standard stuff. Over mashed potatoes, green bean casserole and cheap red wine and I'm in heaven.I had never tried oxtail so a few years ago I tried an oxtail recipe that you did in a cast iron pot on a smoker. That sound like a mis mark. I bought maybe a year ago at around 7 bucks lb.I haven’t had ox tail in many years. Sometimes I look for it but they don’t have any. I was going to check the price per lb today but they didn’t have any. It was likely right though I live in on a very expensive island. I shelled out $38.00 a lb on Ribeye tonight. Dogs having surgery tomorrow and I wanted her to have a great dinner. Next time I see the ox tail I’ll do a price check. That sound like an mis mark. I bought maybe a year ago at around 7 bucks lb.
