Converting an I/O to outboard

Had a 22' 1980 SeaRay CC. that I was thinking of putting twin outboards on. I passed the boat on to next guy but, can't help wondering if it is possible to do without breaking the bank in the proccess.

My current boat is an I/O also and would like some opinions on this to think about long before I am forced to. This way my guns will be loaded when I have to tell wifey that I gotta spend more time and money on the money pit. Thanks!

Erm.. 1980 ? .. thats a boatload of work to do modding that to a twin OB..

For the price .. I suggest get that thing running good.. sell and find a boat thats allready set for OB's..
