Ok I have a 1996 Johnson 200 ocean runner and looking at the 92-01' 200 and 225's are both the same block 90V 183cu. in. 3000CC, both 3.69x2.86 bore and stroke. Heck for that matter the 99-01 250 is the same block, stroke and bore. So what gives anybody know how I can Make mine a 250? I just bought the boyesen power reeds, what else do I need? Thanks, Chris

The port timing is a little more aggressive on the 225 HO & 250. All you'd need then is the 225 HO or 250 carbs. The Lightning gearcase would help if you have a boat that will respond to such things. It'd have to respond well to small increases in torque too.

I think the 225 HO & 250 pack had the 6700 limiter.

Thanks, Dhadley
Anyone got the PN# for the 250 carbs? Or is it just a jet kit?

You'll need the carb assemblies. Carbs and throttle bodies. Don't set yourself up for dissapointment, unless you have some sort of performance boat you'll not likely see much.

I was also told today I need to shave the exhaust port 40 tousandths closer to the head. Will I see much with the reeds?

Unless you have a performance hull - with the set up maxed out -, don't expect to see much.
