Convertible top/bimini for 1989 Sea Ray cuddy cabin?

Hello, I've recently acquired a 1989 Sea Ray 230 Cuddy Cabin which has the frame for what I think is a convertible top. We would like to cover it but can't find any pictures of what it should look like. Has anyone got any we could look at or point us to where we could find some? Also has anyone any experience of the practicalities/effectiveness of a convertible top?
We're wondering if we'd be better buying a bimini instead but like the idea of being able to extend it to attach to the windscreen. Has anyone experience of doing this? Again what are the practicalities of this?
We've contacted Sea Ray but they are unable to help with such an old model.
I'd be grateful for any advice, Chris Turner

Try Great Lakes Boat Top company of Vonore, Tenn.

http://www.greatlakesboattop.com/

They make covers for Sea Ray and might be able to help. One word of caution. They will not honor their 100% satisfaction guarantee, so be careful what you order.

I had a bad experience with them, fortunately, the credit card co. forced them to make it right.

I have some pictures that may or may not help.

Thanks for the pictures. I think the 1st one shows us what it should look like.

Thanks ARCS. Our boat is the 230 Cuddy Cabin as shown in the 2nd brochure. Have enquired about a custom made canvas here in France - I couldn't believe the quote!
Now considering a bimini to give more shade. Have found an ideal one at a reasonable price but it is in the States and the postage is prohibitive. Looking at making one ourselves.

Thanks GSTANTON. I've already tried them with no luck. They don't have patterns for before 1993 or was it 1991?
I've also tried Sea Ray themselves with no luck.
