Convert 3hp to external tank

I have a 1993 Evinrude 3hp motor with built<br />in fuel tank. According to the manual the<br />4 hp version has external tank capability.<br />Is is possible and practical to convert the<br />3hp to an external tank? Model E3RETB<br /><br />Thanks<br /><br />Blue Crab

Think so, BC.<br /><br />You will need the plumbing and a fuel pump. Check out the Service manual for details.<br /><br />Good luck.

Blue_Crab.... Contact me at my address listed below. I have in my remaining stock the complete conversion kit for the older 3hp models. Perhaps it may interchange with the later models. When contacted, I'll attach graphics that depict the actual components along with the full instructions. You can then compare them with your engine and make a judgement call.
