Please provide us a few more details, such as manufactures name, type of installation, etc. (For example, are these Yamaha outboard motor controls, Morse controls for an I/O...)
i have a 1998 welcraft 260se with a volvo penta 5.7gs. my control cable broke and i just replaced it and when the control mechanism only moves fordward about a 1/4 inch and it goes back alot more. but when its in neutral it moves like normal.
