I have a 1966 evinrude 33hp ski twin and my control cables are bad..can anyone tell me what I can replace them with. thanks

i boats store, use the 1800 number and call iboats. they have a direct lick to teleflex, who bought morse cables. you most likely have a morse controller.

Teleflex designation is Johnson®/Evinrude® pre-1979 CC170xx (400 type) , where xx is the length needed.

I have looked up the teleflex cables and the ends look different. Do I need to use the ends that are on my old cables?

You can. Actually, mine came with correct engine-side connectors which I didn't order special. I did have to use the toothed rack that was on the helm-end of the cables.
