i know guys like to play in the garage and build things.

just show me i am not the only crazy one that builds unusual things :).

i just chopped up a perfectly good Boss kids ATV that i got for the motor to put in the granddaughter's pit bike ( she wanted it auto with electric start).

the ATV seller had this ugly looking 150cc moped and said if i wanted the ATV i had to take that as well > so home i came with ATV and a very ugly moped.
removed the motor from the ATV and fitted to the pit bike.

for fun i decided to see if the moped would run , with some hot wiring and some fuel it fired up and seemed to run very well .

so, here i am with a ATV with no motor and a very ugly moped that runs "" what to do now "".
"solution">>>
join the 2 together and make a reverse trike , its not quite there yet but very close , :). i have no idea what I'm going to do with it once its done , however i am sure the GKs will soon make use of it :)

Glad to see this, shows me i'm not as crazy as my wife thinks. lol At least there are two of us. Maybe you would remember back in the day we would chop off a set of front forks off a perfectly good bike just to add to another for the chopper effect. lol

I have an unfinished 14' x 14' Lionel layout in the basement. Started at onset of pandemic, still needs finishing. It's back burnered due to the aquarium moves going on right now. All freshwater...125, (2) 75, (2) 55, 29, (2) 10, and a 110 pond out on the patio.

We're not talking about "Daddy's Race Car" sitting untouched in the garage. My 78 TransAm that's currently off the road in need of some mechanical repairs.

my nephew is a keen model train enthusiast , he would have known strait away what a lionel layout was , :) me , i had to google .

now the trans am is where i know , ? any pics .

a few years around 10 , i bought a neglected early 80s ultima show chopper , completely restored it and made some extensive mods including a 1340 evo motor and a 300 rear end, now that is a contraption to say the least , the rake on the forks and the pull back bars make it a very unique thing to ride

down to 1.5 tanks. 40 tall planted and a planted hospital tank not used in a couple years but low tech plands are amazing.

Ive been mulling on a pond design for about ten years. when i officially retire that is first up on the list.

Going to do a O scale layout on a shelf around the mancave as soon as Zack moves out. N scale in the desk

Next project is a 1952 Fiat Topolino wagon with Corvette IFS/IRS custom frame, AR5 trans and a yet to be determined powerplant.

Hey @stresspoint any further work on trike?
sorry for the late reply , i have been getting my lung cancer surgery organized , surgery is now done 3 /4 of a lung removed and i am now in recovery .they recon no strenuous activity for a while , so you guys are going to have to put up with me on the internet :).

not sure which you are referring to :) , reverse trike is completed and the missus is enjoying using it as opposed to a ATV , so its a winner for us.
rides great over all sorts of terrain , its not fast , but very agile comfortable and easy to ride.

i also built a trike from a 140cc pitpro pit bike that i acquired in a deal with a Honda CRF R 250 and the rear end of the boss ATV :).
with some sorting i decided that o liked riding it aside for a few aspects that could not be over come without a complete rebuild .
with that in mind i started accumulating the bits to build V2 and cannibalizing's V1 for some bits that worked perfect .
things like front end and wheel , bars and pretty soon motor as the 125 in V2 is just not doing it for me :).

pic s of V1 and V2 , V2 is an amazing machine to ride handles very well .
