Console Lighting

I have just bought a 1990 Allumacraft Classic Deluxe 16. On the drivers's console there are 4 switches, bilge, lights, ? and aerator. Next to each switch is an indicator light that at one time had an opaque white plastic cover. Sun and weather have done in these covers. Please, does anyone know where I can get some?

Also, on the side of the console toward the centerline, there is a light inside a rectangular housing. The cover for this is missing as well and I have NO idea what was there or what it is for. Once again, can anyone please help?

Thanks,

Mike

Mike:

You would probably get more help if you could post some pics.

Here are a couple pictures. If you enlarge 215 with Media Viewer, you can get a fairly good look at both light problems.

Re: Console Lighting

Are you sure those white opaque covers are indicators and not circuit breaker reset buttons. Circuit breakers take the place of fuses. If an electrical problem occurs that white button pops out. Allow the circuit breaker to cool and then push it back in to reset the breaker (after you've fixed the problem). If they are indeed indicator lights, you can certainly try an Alumacraft dealer but those covers will very likely not be in stock any longer. Try Radio Shack. If all else fails, look at the selection of indicators Radio Shack has. Far more attractive units are available than what you have. Just make sure they work on 12 volts DC if you decide to replace the entire lamp assembly with new units.
